We are excited to announce that for the tenth year, Delta Dental of Missouri is sponsoring Winter Zoo at the St. Louis Zoo February 5, 12, and 19 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m!Families with cabin fever can get out and have fun with activities specifically geared for children age 2 through 10. Highlighting the festivities will be Delta Dental's "Land of Smiles, The Musical" show in the Anheuser Busch Theatre of the Living World each Sunday.
"Land of Smiles, the Musical" is Delta Dental's entertaining and educating live theatrical program for children and families starring Tooth Wizard, his pal Panda and their arch enemy, PlaqueMan. With the help of volunteers from the audience, Tooth Wizard and Panda defeat PlaqueMan's persistent efforts to plaque up a healthy smile. Each child receives a bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, mirror decal and a coloring sheet. The show will be performed at 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each Sunday, except Mardi Grass Sunday (11:30 a.m. only), and lasts about 30 minutes. Admission is free!
Outside the theatre, Delta Dental will have free face painting and giveaways and Radio Disney will be on hand with music, dancing and fun games for kids of all ages.
On the last Sunday afternoon - February 19 - the Zoo will celebrate Mardi Gras. Radio Disney will host active games for cool prizes from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Then at 3:00 p.m., Tooth Wizard and his friends will lead the Mardi Gras parade, complete with a live band and other fun characters, through the Zoo.
